1. Company formation

Company formation in Costa Rica is a tedious very slow bureaucratic yet very cheap process. Company formation can take anywhere between 2-4 months due to inefficiencies of the Public Registry.
We can offer Company Formation much faster as many other Legal Services Providers (2-4 weeks) and if that is still too slow we can offer shelf companies immediately.
The main advantages of incorporating in Costa Rica are the low cost and tax exemption on all activities that take place outside of Costa Rica. Furthermore, a registered agent and office are not required nor are there any yearly maintenance fees or taxes. A company formation in Costa Rica is a one time cost.

Legislation in general – or the lack of – has created a very attractive environment for e-commerce and re-invoicing centers. As a result, Costa Rica has become an e-commerce center with the legal presence hundreds of online casinos and sports books without any license requirement to operate from Costa Rica.
A normal company formation (shareholders are present in Costa Rica) costs only $600 and a shelf company (Shareholders will not be present in Costa Rica) costs $1000.

2. Property analysis and purchase
In Costa Rica, most land is titled and titles are registered and centralized at the offices of the Public Register in San José. Most titles are currently organized by the means of a computer system called “Folio Real”, although some of them, especially the ones for properties that have had no transfers or other transactions affecting them for a long time, are not organized in the computer system and are still registered in an older fashion, which refers to specific books, pages and entries of hard written records at the Register.
Property transfers require for buyer and seller to sign a deed before a Costa Rican Public Notary and for such deed to be recorded at the Public Register.
We offer public notary services to set up the deed and we can also perform detailed property ownership analysis. This is a must for foreigners and locals. Unfortunately, scams and fraud with properties are common.

3. Wedding services for foreigners

(Wedding) More and more foreigners find Costa Rica not only for its natural beauty but also as a wonderful setting to combine their honeymoon destination with the wedding ceremony.
In Costa Rica, the wedding ceremony can take place at any location but has to be in the presence of a notary.
After the wedding ceremony, we take care of the registration of the deed with the Public registry, the translation and the legalization with your embassy. |
