You will be part of a small team of internal and external programmers. You develop web applications or assist in maintenance of existing ones. Job Description Development of Web applications: management systems for online shopping websites (orders, customers, content, accounting, affiliates, marketing, reports), Online magazines, portal sites etc. See our portfolio to see a complete overview of websites. You will be in charge of managing the intranet of our company, consisting of about 20 servers located worldwide as well as the workstations (20) in-house and external locations. You are in charge of the security of the servers and the network; troubleshoot any kind of hard or software problem any workstation might experience. Since the network administration is not a fulltime job in our small organization, you will also perform some small webmaster tasks, installing programs and if possible some programming. This position requires relocation to Costa Rica. Job Description Networking Tasks - Network configuration including application/hardware installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, backup, and recovery - Server configuration (Linux, windows 2003, IIS), Software installation and troubleshooting - Knowledge of SNA, SSL, Web hosting - Knowledge of Mailservers, VoIP & IM software; Windows Communicator - Set up secure connections between servers - Workstation management & software installation - User management Security Tasks - Firewall, antivirus, spam configuration - Prevent, monitor and solve virus, worms, DOS attacks, hacker attacks Troubleshooting tasks - Trouble shoot any minor and major network issue from connectivity problems, workstations troubleshooting to server installation, migrations, securing etc Webmaster tasks/programming: - Maintenance of several websites (content & error detection) - Programming assistance in .Net framework Requirements/Skills: - in-depth knowledge of TCP/IP protocols - Proven proficiency with Windows Server 2000/2003, Active Directory services, IIS, DNS, NTFS and share permissions - Linux scripting, such as Perl/shell. - Knowledge of RedHat and Gentoo. - Experience with open source products such as Apache, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Subversion, Bugzilla, Linux, Tomcat, Lucene. - Microsoft SQL Server 2000 - Microsoft ASP, Microsoft .NET Framework, webservices, XML - Visual Basic 6, C# (C Sharp) - HTML, JavaScript (AJAX), CSS, Microsoft IIS Profile: - University degree in Computer/system engineering, networking or other relevant area. - You have at least 5 years experience in LAN/WAN network engineering and design, implementation, and support. - Have experience with security technologies including firewalls and IDS systems, hacking tools and methodologies, vulnerability and penetration testing , IPSEC VPN configuration - Some programming experience - Highly skilled in interpersonal communications, telecommunications, and team facilitation. - Excellent spoken English What we offer: - Schedule is Monday – Friday 8am-5pm, but you are required to be 24/7 on standby. - Company cellphone - Salary: Negotiable - Rent included - One return ticket per year - 15 days of vacation + national Holiday - International Medical insurance You need a valid passport and request a US C-1 transit visa (aliens in transit to another country) Customer Service/Order Processing clerks (WORK FROM HOME - ONLY APPLICABLE IN PHILIPPINES
